LossList support

Documenting a property loss, on your own device. Questions answered by email: support@praxis-hq.ai

Email is the way in. There is no phone line and no account to sign in to. Write to support@praxis-hq.ai with what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot helps. Please do not send claim documents, photographs of your home or your declarations page — we do not need them, and we would rather not hold them.

Getting started

  1. Start the interview. Pick the kind of loss you had. The questions are specific to it and are asked one at a time.
  2. Build the inventory. Add items room by room, with photos, receipts, serial numbers, and where and when you bought each one.
  3. Export when you are ready. You can keep adding and export again later.

Common questions

Where is my claim stored?

On your device. LossList has no account and no server of ours. The only thing the app sends is a barcode you choose to scan, to look up a product, aside from Apple’s own purchase check. Your data may be included in your device's own iCloud or computer backup, according to your Apple settings.

What is the security code for?

The exported claim file is encrypted. The code shown after export is the key, and it is the only one — read or text it to your adjuster separately from the file itself. If the file is sent with the code in the same message, anyone with that message can open it.

My adjuster says the file will not open.

A price or figure I typed is not showing up.

If LossList cannot read a number with certainty it leaves it out rather than guess, and marks the item "Price not read". Type amounts as digits with cents, like 1299.99. Amounts with more than two decimal places, or with a letter in place of a digit, are refused on purpose.

Can I delete an item?

Not yet. You can remove photos and receipts from an item while editing it, but LossList does not currently offer a way to delete a whole item or a whole claim. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your iPhone or iPad. This is a limitation we expect to change; it is written this way because the privacy policy must describe what the app actually does today.

What happens to the photograph of my declarations page?

It is not saved. LossList reads the named fields off it, shows them to you to correct, and keeps only the numbers you confirm. The policy document itself is never stored, and the app never tells you what any of those numbers mean for your claim.

What does it cost?

The app is free, and so is the sealed file your adjuster opens — the interview, the inventory and that file cost nothing. The printable PDF summary, the one you can read, print and send to your carrier yourself, is a one-time in-app purchase of $79.00 — not a subscription — and you can re-export as often as you update the claim. Anything you bought before this change stays bought. Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see payment details. If you have paid and the printable summary is still locked, use Restore purchases on the export screen, with the same Apple Account you bought it with.

What LossList is not. It is a self-help documentation tool. It does not act on your behalf, contact your insurance company, interpret your policy, or advise you on coverage, and nothing in it predicts what a claim will pay. For representation, consult a licensed public adjuster or an attorney.
