Odyssey for teachers
Thirty-six adventures, five missions each, about twenty minutes a day. Reading, math at the grade the student is set to, and one follow-the-directions task.
What a mission teaches
Every mission runs three legs: Recon, a nonfiction passage with questions; Navigation, five math problems at the student's grade; and Orders, a follow-the-directions task.
The skills behind each one are listed mission by mission on the curriculum page, which is generated from the game's own content, so it stays current.
The class page
The class page reads the reports or codes families send you and charts the class by skill, on your own screen.
It uploads nothing and saves nothing. Close the tab and it is gone. Print it if you want to keep it.
A class code, and no names
A parent's field report ends with a class code: the same numbers packed small. You can ask families to send you the code, then group the class by it. The code carries the callsign a child picked, the grade, and the mission and skill results, never a name.
Nothing about a child is ever sent to us
There is no account and no sign-in. Progress lives on the device it was played on. A report goes only where the parent sends it, from the parent's own share sheet — never to us.
The whole game plays in any browser at praxis-hq.ai/odyssey, and there is an app for iPad and iPhone on the App Store.
